Christmas and New Year

Last two pieces have gone out before we settle down for the Festive Season. Helping Hand and Dreamer have gone to the same new home in Hertfordshire. Lucky them. A fairly last minute sale which makes it even better, so lucky that I had those two pieces in progress. I think I had an angel watching over me! Two more should go out in the New Year as they are not quite ready, so they can go off in January, one to Germany and one to London. These horses do get around. Also for those of you who may be more local and those of you who might like to visit this beautiful area of countryside, I have been involved in producing a book. It is called '52 things to do - far from the madding beaches'. It is 52 things to do in the Vale of White Horse and has received very positive reviews locally. Copies are available from me, The Vale and Downland Museum, Amazon and many other book shops. Do take a peek.

New Beginnings!

Well having very successfully not used this blog or any other, I am now going to try harder and write entries about what is going on here.

Today, apart from working on waxes, one for a new client, which I hope to get to the founjdry this week and another which I will start tomorrow for a German client,( also a new client). We have just been trying to finish sorting out the garden for winter, which does now appear to be creeping up on us!

Laid some grass at the weekend, I think just in time to settle down before the frost. Delivered some work to the museum for their small Christmas exhibition and last week moved sculptures and paintings across to small section of the shop at Mill Street  as Blackwells are coming in on the 2nd for a period before Christmas. We have our book launch for' 52 Things to do in  the Vale of White Horse' on December 10th at Blackwells at 2pm so hope that will be successful! That is all for now, back to the workshop!

Lendon's finished sculpture of SHE

Angels on Horse Back being placed in its new home near Hastings in a fabulous rose garden with views to die for.  I think it will be very happy there.  July 2011

Angels on Horseback A/C has a new home!

Angels on Horseback, especially altered for a client, they had three girls and I reworked the wax so it was more representative of them, has gone to it's new home. A very happy client so that is great. Now, I must really start thinking about new work, as the AAF is creeping up very fast and I am doing the Battersea one  with the same team as before and then the new North London one (with a gallery).

I just have to keep on thinking that the universe is working in the right way and then it does! I love the way that works, it is not so good when I lose faith though, but on the whole I am not too bad at thinking positively and for an artist I think that is unusual!

Oh and my gorgeous daughter is having another birthday tomorrow, I cannot believe how fast time whizzes by, it make me realise how short a time we have on this earth and how much there is to do, as time goes by I realise I have so much that I have not even got close to doing that I really want to achieve, to see, to visit, to make. I would like time to slow down a bit so I can maybe just squeeze some of the really important things in.

It has been the most extraordinary week this week, work has been good, I delivered up to a North Yorkshire gallery (Lund) and stayed with my sister for two nights on way up and back. Also visited my niece's very new and slightly premature baby Finbar. He is still in hospital but he seems to be doing well. I held him on the first visit, lucky me! In fact I have held two little tiny prem babies in the last week, having never held or even had one in the family before. Lendon's brother's partner has also had a little boy who was two months early! Interestingly both babies were due early August on same day, Jean Paul arrived June 4th and Finbar arrived on July 14th, at the moment both are similar weights. Hope they both grow well and that Finn is out of hospital soon.

Right I must get to bed, after long day working and gardening as tomorrow I have allotmenting to do before going to get my Mother and go to Hannah's dad's house for a barbeque lunch! Busy busy...so nothing new there then!
